Description

Arp 270 is a pair of galaxies which is haevily interacting. They are at the beginning of their merger and have already a common halo. The distance between the two galaxy cores is only 1 arcmin.

They are in a distance of 68 Mio Lj and have a size of 2,1 x 1,1arcmin (3395) and 2,9 x 1,2 arcmin (3396).
